How do you get Studio to search for new content and update the content directory. Something other then uninstalling and then installing Das Studio and get the program to serch for content which I have been doing.

Under Help - open the Quick Start pdf and find Chapter 3 - it tells you how to have D|S Studio do a search for content outside of the install.

Go to menu Edit / Preferences ans select the tab Directories and add a new folder there.

I have D/S 1.5 and there isn't a search button like what is shown in the image in the Quick guide in Chapter 3. It only has 'Add', 'Remove', and "Remove All"
(I want my money back.)

What the hey! Mine doesn't have that fourth "Search" button

But those are the DAZ Studio Directories.  To enable the search, click on the drop down and select the Poser Content Directories.  That will bring up the Search Button, if you look at the image I posted your directories are different.

I got it. Thanks for you help. Now I'm going to start a new thread on getting the content organized
