I've seen a number of freebies I wanted from Soruman (I doubt that's how he spelled it) but cannot d/l them from Rapidshare.  Is anyone else having problems with them?  It was the coffin/grave freebie this morning - I get 'invalid session' every time.  I know I've typed the check characters in correctly - but it never works.  I'm not about to pay for the service for freebies, no matter how nice they look.

I just downloaded sorroman's African Mask successfully, so it isn't a widespread problem with RapidShare. It may be that you're using the same IP address as someone who has recently downloaded a lot of stuff from there and they've put you over the limit. You could try disconnecting from the Internet, then re-login.

If you go the free route, it will time you out for awhile if you have DL'd before

Online Now!

Yeah, I'm sticking to the free route and not getting anywhere with downloading, so I think I must forego these otherwise nice-looking and potentially useful freebies.

Attached Link: Free File Hosting - Yeas & Nays

This is probably a good time to mention Fringewood's free file hosting thread at DAZ, which collects the community's experience with these hosts. Rapidshare is not top of the list... ;)

Thanks for the link to the "Free File Hosting - Yeas & Nays" EnglishBob.
I know Rapidshare used to work a whole lot better but they changed things and its a pain.
I see on the list http://www.divshare.com/ that is Recommended.  I have trouble with that site using Firefox where the page keeps reloading and I got it to work once. Have let the java script run and and let it place a cookie etc but  still have trouble. With netscape I can go there and as soon as the page loads the  download box comes up and all works ok. Just don't know what the deal is with firefox because that is the only place I have trouble at.
