I like to make my own textures from my Poser scenes and paste them to flap panels as signs, windows, etc.   As of late, Poser 7 makes the rendered scenes often so fuzzy as to be useles.

texture filtering on? post filter size > 1? final vs. draft settings?

Huolong ( ) posted Sun, 20 May 2007 at 1:38 AM

The image in the center is what is saved in a render and is clear, but the image on the left is applied to a surface unrendered and the right rendered.   Something happens when the image is used as a texture and re-rendered as opposed to the same picture not applied as a texture.

What are your render settings (screenshot) ?

It's the setting in the Materials Room for the particular texture which in P6 is a general setting ... presumably this cuts down on the overall speed of rendering.

turn off texture filtering. make sure post filter size = 1 (default). use final (not draft) render settings.

Can you show us the general render settings (ctrl+y) ?

It's the specific setting that affects the fuzziness of a particular texture.

Set "min shading rate" to 0.20. It should solve the problem.
