Subject: Michael 3 Stuff?

foxygoddess ( ) posted Mon, 28 May 2007 at 8:40 PM · edited Sat, 15 February 2025 at 8:48 AM

I'm having a hard time finding the things I need for my first attempt at a male character using Michael 3. I've looked on Renderosity but there isn't really much that I can use. So if anyone knows where I can find the following items, I'd greatly appreciate it (it has to be free though, please!).

  1. Hair! For some reason I can't find good male hair to use.
  2. Facial/body morphs.
  3. Clothing!!! Specifically, the character I am creating wears a Gi. But I could also use any other kind of clothing, armor, etc.
  4. How do you get a more muscular figure? Is there a morph for this?

Thanks so much, I am having the hardest time finding anything!!!

face & body morphs for M3 have to be purchased - no freebies there,  unless you can use a modelling application, in which case the possibilities are endless.

in any case, the morphs are sold here

Darn, is there by any chance a free modeling/morphing program available? I have a trial version of Blacksmith 3D but I don't know how to use it, it's so confusing!

you can try Blender 3d - it's a free modelling program - never used it myself... A note though - all these programs look VERY confusing - that's why it's a good idea to read the manual as well as tutorials before you start ;)

good luck :D

There are free modelling apps all over the place.
Here's links to a few of them:
http://www.wings3d.com - Wings3d, polygon sub-division modeller
http://www.anim8or.com/ - Anim8tor, pretty simple sub-d modeller and animation tool.
http://www.metaseq.net/english/index.html - Metasequioa, haven't used it.
http://homepage3.nifty.com/escargot/ - MarbleClay
http://www.cbmodelpro.com/ - Non-linear modeller, draw lines on surfaces and move the lines to shape models.
http://www.caligari.com/Products/trueSpace/tS3/resources/default.html - Truespace 3.2, it is an older version of Truespace; but still a good solid modeller. The free download is at the bottom of the resources intro.

Blender (http://www.blender.org) is a lot more than just a modeller. It can model; but it can do a lot of other things too. It isn't the most user friendly app.; but it is not unlearnable.

Friends don't let friends use booleans.
