Subject: M3 Clothing on Koji?

Is there a way to fit M3's clothing onto Koji (not G2 Koji)?

I am wanting a business-type 3 piece suit for Koji.  I see that DAZ sells a suit for M3.  Will this also work on Koji?

Content Paradise is selling the Business Suit set for Koji G2, Simon, and Kelvin, the G2 Males.

If the suit is a G2 suit it works with koji and the other G2 males, they share dimensions ...
So it should fit fine ..Go to CP and read the info for the suit .. it will tell you who can use it

Nontoxic - as BarCode has said, pop over to the Content Paradise website and check out what can be done to get your Koji suited up.  Hint:  search for "Koji Suit" and you will be shown some products.  Read what's stated there with the products.

Ahh,  I see now.  I thought that suit was only for G2, but it says:

"A fashionable suit for the G2 Males James, Koji & Kelvin for a night out on the town, or an important meeting."

OK, just to confirm - if I wanted to put something like BAT's GER military uniform on Koji, the only real solution is the Wardrobe Wizzard???

Hmmn,

I'm pretty sure that suit is for the G2 males - James G2, Koji G2, Kelvin G2 and Simon. I don't think it's going to fit Koji 1. The good news is, if you purchased Koji 1 apparently there is an offer to upgrade to Koji G2 free with a serial number from Koji 1.

Yes, you'll need something like Wardrobe Wizard to put clothes on Koji that were not made for him.

Here is what I can tell you about WW:

1.  Works within Poser through your python script are;

2.  Has buff support by both PhilC and Kamilche;

3.  It's an investment, not an expense and it actually saves you money in the long run;

4.  You can convert clothing between any WW supported figures, even from  Mil Baby to The Freak if you want;

  1. How it works:
  • Load the WW supported figure (default out of the box state)

  • Add all of the clothing / props for that figure that you want it to wear and conform the clothing, making sure it fits properly. Use the dials and magnets if you need to.

  • Open the python window and find Wardrobe Wizard

  • Select one of your clothing items

  • Click "convert from " and let WW do it's thing. The time that this step takes depends on the item you are analyzing.  Sometimes it takes seconds and sometimes it can take several minutes (IE: 20 or 40 minutes), at least that's how it is on my computer.

  • Once the analysis is finished, do it again for another clothing / prop item. Rinse and repeat until you have all of your clothing / props analyzed that you need.

  • Morph up your figure, OR delete the figure and add a different WW supported figure to the scene.

  • Select your clothing or prop

  • Locate WW in the python window and click "Convert to" and let WW do it's thing. It takes about 10 seconds.

  • Voila!  Your clothing fits.  Do a few smooths for select body parts on the clothing and an inflate or deflate and it looks pretty good. Of course it's not fool proof, but the majority of the time it works very well.  You do have to conform or parent after the process, even if you had done it before because "Converting to" undoes the conforming.

WW will deposit a small .dat file Inside the WW analysis folder which is found inside the WW folder for every item that you analyze.  What I do when I'm analyzing a full outfit that has multiple parts to it is to create a folder inside my analysis folder named for the outfit.  Then as each part of that outfit gets analyzed I move it to that folder.   You can take your organization one step further and put the outfit folder into a folder for a specific figure so it's easy to look to see if you have already analyzed something.   For example when I analyzed the Abyssal_Queen outfit, I put all of the .dat files into a folder called  "Abyssal_Queen"  and then moved that folder into another folder called "!!ClothingV3".  Unfortunately WW won't recognize anymore subfolders than that.

6.  So long as you don't delete that .dat file which was created you never have to analyze that clothing or prop again.  The next time you want to use that item just load whatever WW supported figure you want to use, add the clothing which you had analyzed before and click "Convert to". WW will convert that clothing to fit the figure. 

  1. Because WW relies on that little .dat file you no longer have to clog your hard drive with duplicate outfits for each figure you have.  It's fast and easy to just "convert to" as you go along because it only takes a few seconds.

8.  One clothing item can be shared between every one of your WW supported figures.

10.  If you can get the .dat file for the item and you have the clothing, you don't have to have the original figure the clothing was created for in your library. All you need is the clothing and the .dat file. Many WW users share their .dat files. I share mine and I also host the .dat files that people have sent me for sharing.  So this means that if you saw a great free dress for Mayadoll but don't have Maydoll in order to analyze the dress yourself,  you can ask around and see if anyone who has Mayadoll also has WW and would be willing to do the analysis for you and send you the .dat file.  Once you have that .dat file you just add the free Mayadoll dress to whatever WW supported figure you want and click "Convert to".  The only time you need to have the original figure in your libary is if you are wanting to analyze the stuff for yourself.

9.  WW also  has other features like Remove IK, Zero Figure, Inflate, Deflate and you can use it on your actual figure instead of a clothing item and you can use it on props etc.  Plus it has other features that I can't recall right now.

10.  Did I mention that the support for the program is second to none?

I can honestly say that there hasn't been a single day since I purchased WW that I haven't used it when using Poser.  To me it's become a staple and I can't ever imagine going back to using Poser without it.

NOTE:  I'm not getting paid for this glowing recommendation!  I believe it truly is by far the most outstanding program ever to come along for Poser.

PS: I just finished analyzing all of my AIko3 clothing. So now I can use any of those outfits on a morphed up Aiko, V3, SP3 or any other WW supported figure in my runtime.  I plan to do the same with the rest of my V3 clothing. I've already started but have a ways to go with that.  But once done I'll be able to use the V3 clothing on any figure that I have in my runtime because they are all supported by WW.

Yes, it's quite a beautiful thing.  I'm getting V4 suited up right now because I'm sick of buying clothes that I don't think I'm going to use very often, and I've got about all of the DAZ figures, and now they can borrow each other's clothes.

Kalon is correct the original Koji can't take the new G2 male clothing. 

He can however wear the original P6 James Clothiong. If you own Poser 6 or 7 these clothes are in the props library (including a suit)

If you are really brave Daz's new look doesn't cause you physical pain, then have a look at this old thread that I have bookmarked which shows Wardrobe Wizard being used to fit all types of clothing to various figures. It's from back when WW was first released.

Because Apollo's arms are bent and no other figure has that as a default, when you convert clothing with sleeves to Apollo the arms don't look so great (they get all twisted). Doing sleeveless for Apollo is fine, or you can modify the clothing that's built for Apollo to look like what you want. You could always use OBJtoCR2 to convert jackets and long sleeve clothing to fit Apollo. Just bend and fit the sleeves yourself to fit Apollo (in Poser or an outside app like Blacksmith or Hexagon), then export the obj. Import the obj and run OBJtoCr2. bB

I tried modelling a lot of sleeved tops for Apollo using Shade and Hexagon - I've noticed that it's not just his extra joint in his upper arms, but also that his arms are flexed in zero default pose throughout the XYZ 3D space.  This also makes it tougher to adjust converted clothings from figures which have zero default position of the arms in the XY plane.  But then again, I ain't no professional clothing modeller, so....
