Trevor3000 has claimed the traditional "Judgement" card, so all of the major arcana are now assigned. If folks want to join in on the project, or want to choose another card as a second project, the list of suit cards are on Morph World. Like standard playing cards, Tarot cards have four suits. In this project, the Wands suit will be used for Egyptian mythology; the Cups suit will be used for Grecian mythology; the Swords suit will be used for Roman mythology; and the Pentacles/Coins suit will be used for Pagan mythology. To accompany the suit cards, Traveler has created a prop for each suit. These are typically placed within the card ... for example, the 6 of cups displays 6 cups somewhere in the scene. 8-) If you're interested in tackling a suit card, let us know which one you select, and join in on the fun! 8-) Dee

I am so glad that I can use my King character again. I had put that series on hold for a while, as I figured you all had had your fill of it...(And, they both do have to die int the upcoming ones.) Great.

Dolly ... I think, to make room for others who might want to join in as things progress, just choose one additional card to start with. If there are others available when you're done with the next card, you can choose another one. That way we can get more folks involved if they want to participate. 8-) Dee

ok ive had a lokk can i have the card the night from the celtic /druid/pentacal as i am also a virgo and one more thing do we use the same boder or do a different one

If you're waiting for the large version of the crystal ball image, all you have to do in Internet Explorer is right-click on the file that is posted above in message #2, and choose Save Picture As. Pick a folder to save the file into (like your Desktop, for example), and you've got the background image. Oh, as far as the card backs go, we are using Verdie's original crystal ball image that she has posted in her gallery. Dee

All cards will use the same border. You don't have to worry about any more card backs or borders, they're all taken care of. 8-) Dee

Oh Traveler, that is such a great idea ... I was wondering what the best way to handle this was!!! I've been trying to keep track of the posts and switch to a new thread when the page starts getting too big! This will make it TONS easier 8-) You're too smart, ya know that? 8-) Dee

I had to take down the card bases for Bandwidth issues. Why don't we leave the actual construction of the cards until the end, that way if the cards are built by the same person (ie, add the text, numbers, borders) it will add some continuity to the set (which is important to Tarot.) Also reading back through the threads, weren't we going to use what is the "base" now, as the Backs of the cards, and then have a simple border scheme around the outside of the card art? If we do it that way we would have more room for the beautiful card art, which should take center stage. If we want to go that way, we could save the borders etc until later, and just work on the card art now. What do you all think? -Trav

I think that is a very sensible decision, Traveler ... this way everyone can focus on their artwork for the card. Once we see what everyone puts together we can use a border that compliments all of the cards.

Another good idea. What is the timeline on these cards? This seems like a really good project, but, much more time consuming than the last. I still have to peddle my Poppi's to put provisions on the proverbial table. I feel like I am behind, already....but, am anxious to work with my king character again.

exellent trav and i have seen both and this one makes your work jump out becouse of the colours. i like this one and dont think im saying it because its got my border the border is of no value it just serves to add a border nothing more nothing less any way good work

Looking at the cards so har how would this be: Take the crystal ball center element and use that as the Back of the cards, Use the Sphere, and star frame element as the frame of the card, and make the maroon outer frame element thinner and plain white? All of which would maintain the structure of the traditional cards, and nothing is lost? -Trav
