Subject: What am I doing wrong with my animation?

ajtooley ( ) posted Fri, 15 June 2007 at 10:21 AM · edited Sun, 02 February 2025 at 2:39 PM

I've been working on an ME 109 animation, but I get occasional "glitches" on the images. Sometimes it's blown-out light as if it were a reflection gone awry, and sometimes it's pure black spots. I can't figure it out.

Here's the video.

Since Google video is a tad small and compressed, here's a still frame showing the black glitch.

I appreciate any help you might give...

This effect looks like you use World-Standard mapping for some parts of your object. Change to Object-Standard for mapping, and it should work.

I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

Hmm. Turns out everything was on Object Standard. Any other ideas?

Hmmm.. Is your object imported from Poser? 😕 Check this link.

Yes, it was imported from Poser...

Your solution from the other thread appears to have worked! Thanks a million!

How did you get the camera to follow the plane...animate the plane only?..or stationary camera following flight path?
Thanks for any info...I have a few Vue animations in my gallery.
Cool work,also!

Thanks!

I just set the plane as the tracked parent for a stationary camera and then moved the plane past. I'm still struggling with more complicated moves than that!
