One answer per question please.
You can watch one movie what is it?
You can listen to one piece of music?
And what would be your last meal?

Me

  1. Goodfellas
    2.Dreadzone: Canterbury tale.
3.Shepards pie with cheesy mash, Cabbage and two thick pork sausages. Followed by profiteroles and ice cream.

  1. None, haven't watched a movie in years.
  2. Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd
  3. Lobster, it would bring back many good memories from my youth.

Fantastic four III (if they haven't made it yet, that's OK. I'll wait!)
Jade Warrior - Kites (heard it's as good as waves, but I haven't heard it yet.)
Steak and potatoes with salad from Bennets (once again I haven't been but they grill over mesquite instead of rangetops)

Short answer: If I'm going I'm trying all new things, even if there is a chance I won't like it.

OK  first, I prefer to think of this as:
If you're going on an interstellar voyage tomorrow, what one last movie, music and dinner will you have.
That said, I'd want to:
See the LOTR's trilogy on mega big screen in stereo
Listen to Led Zepplin's box set
and eat Lobster, asparagus and garlic potatoes, rasberry lime rickie for a drink and for dessert I guess chocolate cake. (I'm having a senior moment and can't remember my favorite dessert)

Rayraz ( ) posted Sun, 17 June 2007 at 5:25 PM

movie: The Matrix Trilogy with the most hi-tech surround sound from like 100 top-quality boxes on a huge all-round 360degree screen :-P
music: Slayer - Angel of death
last meal: lets say it requires a woman...

  • I'll second that Blade Runner for the music, though. I'm a big Vangelis fan.
  • No idea for a movie... I've never been into them. Probably something uplifting, though, like home-made family films. Watching a stranger or watching loved ones, I'd rather watch family/memories than some actor whom I know nothing of.
  • Food would probably be some feast.. a multi-course meal. I haven't had one of those in a long time. Love seafood, so it'll have to have authentic Louisiana gumbo in that somewhere. But I lived all over the world, so really something from each place.

Death_at_Midnight

There's a place in the French Quarter called Tujague's. They serve a 6 course meal and you basically go in and eat what they put in front of you, no menu per se. Reservations are required. So you would have to know when you are dying about a month in advance. http://www.tujaguesrestaurant.com/

1.) Home movies of my son and my wife

2.) Shomyo (kind of buddhist like music if your familiar with it)

3.) 100 pieces of the finest O-torro- nigri sushi I could find. (I'd have to take a mortage out to afford it as if you've ever been to a real high class sushi-ya in Japan you know how expensive two peices - one order - of torro can be...) And I'll tell yeah.. I would eat everyone of those 100 pieces...

@ electroglyph:  :-)  I've been there once!  You got me thinking of muffaletta's now. I'm thinking of that muffaletta shop near Cafe Du Monde (http://www.cafedumonde.com/).  So, what were you doing in my old stomping grounds of New Orleans?

Lown ( ) posted Thu, 21 June 2007 at 7:13 AM

Tough one!!
Film - Would have to be the Star Wars trilogy (the old ones not the new ones)
Music (even tougher) - The Box by Orbital (oh the irony!!)
Food - Bangers and mash with onion gravy (i live in Finland and you cant buy English sausage here!!)
...and a book - Perdido Street Station by China Mieville, an awesome piece of fantasy, the guy is a total genius!!

MarkHirst ( ) posted Thu, 21 June 2007 at 7:49 AM

All very tough ones to decide on:

1) The Fifth Element

  1. A Change of Seasons - Dream Theater
  2. A nice crispy salad, Stilton cheese, soft, warm bread, fresh coleslaw and an apple.
