Not in Poser 4 but there's a real simple shader technique to work in Poser 5. Poser 6 has it built in, so probably Poser 7 does, too.
Gimme 5 minutes and I'll dig out the shader you need to do it.

IMyself and another Poser user - who's name escapes me momentarily - developed an extension of this which allows you to throw reflections onto an invisible surface.
I'll post that one asap.

in Poser 4 or Poser 5, is there any way to render a shadow on an "invisible" ground?
(for example) I want to render a horse running, using an AVI background I rendered in Bryce( rather than export the horse into Bryce) Unfortunatly, when I do this it looks bad because there is no shadow under the horse...I don't want the Poser ground plane to show, just the shadow.
