Hi, I struggled with this for a while also. The trick,as far as blinking is concerned, is first to select the keyframes where you want the action to start, finish and return. Then open the graph editor in the animation palette and select the body part. In the top right there are 4 Buttons with graph shapes. Change the type of graph between the selected keyframes by making the graph either constant, the grey button, or the the brown button. (Can't recall the proper name at the moment). Hope that helps.
wakingdreams,
You can also just use sline breakes. If a blink, or some body action, goes beyond the norm or you wish to make a sudden change in direction use the Break Spline button: furthest right. The types of keyframes are Spline, Linear and Constant (green, orange, grey and green) and to the right of these three is the Break Spline. You'll have to play about a bit with the keyframe types.
Best Wishes,
Rance
I'll reiterate the need to use the Graph editor--the Animation Palette is--ironically--next to useless for animation--I almost never use it. The Graph editor shows you exactly what is happening with your animation, and you can create/fix/adjust everything there with infinitely more control.

a key trick I learned for using the graph editor is, let's say you want a constant value, but as usual poser moves new keyframes all over the place... just put your cursor INSIDE the graph, left click, hold and scrub all the way to the right, then press the DELETE key on your keyboard, and it'll clear out all the unwanted keyframe settings, vs manually having to minus/delete out each keyframe at a time...

I've been doing some animation in Poser, and so far so good....I am guessing because I learned on my own that I am missing something but anyway....is there a way to adjust a body part, then a few frames later adjust the bodypart to a different place without having the entire timeline change? I mean without having to go frame by frame.
The main issue I am having is that I'll want them to blink or shrug or lift a arm up for a moment. I get to the first part of that animation just fine but by setting the second keyframe it messes up the rest of the frames.
If anyone can help that would be appriciated :)
