I use irfanview for my screen captures.

I just prt-screen key, and the very handy alt+prt-screen (only gets topmost window, saves a lot of cropping)
On a PC? As has been said already, if you want a screen capture then use the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard for the whole screen, or ALT + Print Screen for the active window, then Paste into a paint program.
If on the other hand you want to save the contents of your Document Window (your scene), from the menu bar do; File > Export > Image.
Thank you all for your responses. I just wanted to capture a snapshot of the whole poser screen that includes all the document window and all the palettes so that I could portray a poser figure using poser. Sort of like that guy that used Blender to make a render of a actual blender next to a screen shot of Blender (or something like that.). I hope that was not too trivial for you all.

Yes it was. You have offended the Forum Gods. Please make amends by posing a question of deep meaning, such as "Is Truth Beauty, and is Beauty Truth?", "If Poser 7 crashes to desktop when nobody is using it, has it really crashed?" or the perennial favourite, "Who has the best boobs, Vicki 3 or 4?"
 Just kidding

how do you take a screen shot of a Poser screen? Inquiring (but humble) minds want to know.
