Subject: a lil help plz!! its about daz studio

well, like alot of ppl,i got the newest daz studio. but dang,i never backed up my 1.5!!! i was in such a rush :( is there any way i could ever find 1.5? since it renders faster. cus 1.7 renders sloooowww on my le laptop. any help would b great

Do you still have the 1.5 installer? Or Bryce 6?

nope. iz aalll gonesilly me lol.i have even done a search, on my laptop, and my external hd:P.  alltho dz q.7 actually lets me cancel without probs, it still renders too slow.  ive trie all i can to make it go faster. but i guess my ole lappie cant handle  it:P

You should update your drivers to the latest Nvidia version. OpenGL is currently at 2.01 or over.

DS relies heavily on the card and older drivers will definitely slow it down.

ok so i found daz 1.5. on my external hd. after  looking once again just  to b sure. but   awww my surface tab is gone!!

try this:

~ click on "view" at the top
~ choose "tabs"
~ from that dropdown menu, choose "surfaces"

Try going to Edit>Customise and looking in the Tabs section in the left hand pane. If the Surfaces tab is there, go to the Menu tab on the right, open the Main menu, then the view menu, then the tabs menu and drag surfaces across.

well, all i have to say is, DOH! i figured i'd delete all the daz  main foldes then reinstall and woohoo! all is back in its place:) so me gonna render now .lol and again, ds 1.7 is cooler, but i can tolerate the small hang ups and not being able to stop a render:P so yay
