dave, you've got "bend" turned off for both waters in the Fountain figure--once that's changed, the waves work fine. -jan-

Aha! Thanks! I didn't realize 'bend' affected the action of deformers!
(I semi-consciously assumed it was only for the joint-weighting stuff.)

I use Waves all the time, so I'm familiar with their overall nature.... but this
one is frustrating.
I'm trying to set up a wave contained in a PP2, to wiggle a pool of water.
The wave works fine on the pool when it's an independent prop, so I know the
mesh itself is dense enough to move, and I know the PP2 has the right smartparent
and deformtarget lines.
But when the pool is rigged as a body part of the fountain, the wave refuses to
affect it.
Before I continue with more blind trial and error, is there something in the
fountain CR2 that needs to be different? Or something in the wave PP2?
