Subject: Best way to get all that content over to C6

What the best way to get all that new content from the content cd into C6. I was wishing for  C6 to go find all the content like Daz Studio does.

Not sure.  I got the download version.  The "C6 Pro Content" file I have is an executable that installs things in your Poser 7 folder.

You can navigate your browser in Carrara (have open the Content Tab) to anwhere you have content. Using the Add Folder pull-down menu on the Browser, select Add Runtime and it will load the runtime wherever you drive it to. In my case I have three runtimes: Poser, DAZ Studio, and Carrara. At some point I'll probably merge them all into one but for now, I have those three. At least on the Mac content installer, it actually added a runtime in the C6 folder. I might of directed it there myself (fragile mind that forgets things easily here) but I thought it did it automatically. Mark

just to confirm, the content installer has an option that asks the user for the location to install the c6pro runtime. in OS X, it's a vise installer that has "easy install" and "uninstall" options. under "easy install", the default location is the applications folder, but it also has a pull-down menu to "select folder", which would be the c6pro folder. as each new runtime is added to the c6pro content browser, it is assigned a name corresponding to the folder in which the new runtime is contained at time of addition.

It's still not happening for me. I opened the Add Folder and put a runtime library into the Content Library. I don't see any images of the goodies but I do see all the names. And I not able to access them.

What happens when you flip the disclosure triangle down (open the subfolders) and then change the size of the icon presentation with the browser preview option tools?

Nuttin' Here's an image of what I have. I clicked on the size and text button and my life didn't change for the better.

Never mind. My bad. I clicked  'Add Folder' not 'Add Runtime'. So I did it correctly and I'll live happily every after or 'till the next problem...what ever comes first.

I notice that the Poser people didn't come over just the Daz stuff I bought over the year when I added the runtime librarys from Poser 5 and 6. Daz Sudio will go out and grab all the Poser content. Is it nessesary to bring them over one by one?
