THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Network Render. Does it use the host machine and dual processors?

I am doing an image that is going to take a really long time so I thought I would do a network render seeing how I have two computer 1GHz and 1.4GHz along with a 1.87Dual core. But here is the rub. When I start the render on the dual 1.87 I can tell it is using both processors because of a little gauge. Now when i do the network render it seems to hardly hit either processor on the dual system which is the host.

Any ideas? Did I forget a setting to use the host computer?

I think you have to run the render on the slowest machine when doing a network render like you are so that it takes advantage of the faster processors. Sorry if I don't have the full answer here, but try that at least and see if theres a difference.

Depends which version of Bryce you're on but there used to be 'render on host machine' tick box....
