Subject: Butterflies behind bars - firefly rendering problem

I'm having trouble getting a buterfly prop to render properly in P6 or P7. I've tried turning texture filturing on and off and checked the settings in the material room. This problem appears to happen in both P6 and P7 though the images below are from P6. Above is the preview.

And the render. This the first time I've run into this problem and it has me a bit baffled.

on the wing textures make sure 'normals forward' is checked.

Yes, I would try the normals forward.

I would also be tempted to try the tip from the following thread to see if it brightened up the wing colours a bit.

This is what happens when Poser encounters a two-sided polygon.  Eliminating one side of each polygon ina a modelling program may also eliminate the problem.
