I'm still using CS1, but my cameras are supported with what I have so all is good for me. Thanks for the 'update' Tanchelyn.

Someone must have been reading my mind... I was just about to post a question asking if anybody knew of a good alternative to Adobe Camera Raw. If I was to get CS3 it would cost me more than my camera did in first place...

I now use CS2, coming from 7. I skipped CS1. In fact: 7 was already very capable, and if I had known Bibble then, I probably would not have upgraded at all.
If you're shooting RAW, then it's dangerous to download a demo, the manual and the tutorial movies. You'll be sorry that, despite all good intentions, you haven't been a good boy (or girl) so Santa won't bring Bibble.
To be honest: I guess that I'll buy it when I'm back and most work will be done in it, and not in Photoshop anymore.

*Capture One is my preferred RAW processor.
Buying yourself a Sandisk Ultra card and receive a free copy of LE is the best way of getting it.

I had Rawshooter (purchased version) and fortunately Adobe gave such owners a free download of Lightroom when they took over. I have not used other converters than Rawshooter, Lightroom and the one in CS2. The CS2 converter is quite basic. Otherwise, I likely could not afford Lightroom at market price.
I've just got (and payed for!) Bibble, it does everything I need and the results are excellent. Thanks for letting us know about it. Now if only I could download some more time from the 'net so I can sit and play with it some more, lol.

Quote - Adobe released an update of their raw plugin, and it now suports the 14bit Canon (40D etc).
It's a 4. plugin, and I tried, but it's not supported by CS2 (I'm shure they did it on purpose).
You need eiother CS3, Lightroom (with CS3, I'm not shure) or Elements 5 for it.Not much of a problem for most of us I guess.
An alternative for CS2 users (and others) is Bibble, which still is independant from Adobe. (that acquired not only Macromedia, but also the RAWshooter technology).
Adobe not releasing the RAW plug in for CS2 doesn't surprise me in the least, their answer to those that complained about cs2 problems with vista were given a answer to buy cs3 not very customer friendly IMO. I still use cs2 and have no plans to upgrade anytime soon, asked the wife and she looked at me like I was on crack. so CS2 and me are good friends and will be for some time to come. Cant complain though as it does everything I need, and lightroom picks up the slack.
I've looked seriously at Lightroom but even at half the price of CS3 it's still a very expensive piece software. Is there anything it can do that Bibble doesn't or anthing that it does better to justify the price tag? At the moment I'm using Photoshop 7 and/or Bibble for editing and Picasa to sort everything. I've only had my DSLR for a few weeks so saving up for software upgrades is coming second to saving up for some other lenses .
