Can anyone tell me if it is allowed to use Tamelas texturebases in a freebee?

Where are they sold? is there a read me included with them? Typically there is a terms of use included with a texture base, and if it is a sold product, then most likely they can be included in commercial items. That would mean if something is NOT commercial but would be free that they could NOT be included.

Just Im the creator though, rather then stick yer neck out.

I've bought it here in the RMP, and not sure I understand the readme right

there was some issue about this some time ago in copyright forum. I don't recall the details. they'll know more. clint, karen et al.

Hmmm if the product was removed because of copyright violation, then using it for freebies would probably be a bad idea... best to check into it.

I just checked.. there are two MASSIVE threads that lead to 2 MORE threads at #D Commune about copyright violation, and Tamelas products. 

Here's a link to one of the threads.. I stopped seeing how long it was at about page 53 or so.

Personally, I'd dump the textures in the bin, and look for someone else's becuase it looks like such a huge steaming mess that I wouldn't want to deal with it at all.

From what i can tell, her products bounced from store to store, and now no one will touch them. I'm sure there are defenders and detracters, but I can;t think of any freebie release worth wading through that mess myself.

Your best bet is to send a note to Karen1573 or ClintH and ask them about using those textures 😉
