Before you start conversion go to Options -> Settings... in Crossdresser and under Advanced options tick "Do not regroup OBJ" (other boxes I have ticked are "Copy materials", "Save influences" and dotted "OBJ + CR2").
Sometimes the conversion is not right but give it a try .
I have tried and it works most of the time , even if they say you shouldn't do this.

Are you talking about "Morph Manager 4"?
Morph Manager 4 transfers the whole targetGeom (morph) channels, in other words the whole morphs.
Quote: "Or do the morphs only work on the same figures not different figures."
Thats right. Morphs are made for a particular geometry (*.obj file) and will not work on a diffrent geometry.
There are some products for transfering morphs from one figure to another, "Wardrobe Whizard", is one I have never used it, but hear good things about it, though you should realise that these products are not perfect, and results can vary. Strictly they do not transfer morphs, but rather create a new morph of similar shape for the target figure. As I understand it, they are mostly used to transfer morphs from a character to clothing, I do not know if they would work well to transfer morphs from one character figure to another, but I doubt it.
you must have the same number of vertices for the both figures - or bodyparts- in order for the morph to work ! For ex. you can't transfer a lip morph from Aiko 3 to V4 'cause their heads don't have the same number of vertices .
MM transfers the morph but there is no warning if they have not the same number of vertices - this is why you see the morph but it doesn't work .
The problem with xdresser is that it's grouping parts of the object - for ex. hip and abdomen - so this will change the number of vertices .You try to inject a hip morph into a hip+abdomen of course it won't work .
That's why I check the option "do not regroup obj" .
What"s the use of a cloth with no morphs in it ?

My personal preferences are: Quality High, check Fix Poke-through (set to 0.15) and in the case of long sleeves like the Morphing Fantasy Dress and pants or boots that go past the knee, check Turn Off Spherical Fall-Off Zones. Under Options I check Use Advanced Options, this lets me tell XD to create both .obj and .cr2 files, check Copy Materials and check Save Influences. That last option makes it quicker to convert the item again for another character. But be careful with that as it can build up a lot of files in your Influences folder, which take up too much space. You can delete them if you're not going to use them again or if you're running out of room.
Thanks very much, for the settings Byrdie
Please tell if I have this correct :
Once I have used xd to convert the cloths using the settings, say from V3 to V4 shirt. I can use morphmanger to copy morphs from V3 shirt to V4 xd converted or not.
If not how do i get the morphs for the shirt over to the xd v4 such morphs as open shirt etc. Or can I only copy morphs from say the V4 body itself into the newly converted xd v4 shirt, but this would not give me the open shirt morphs.??
Thanks very much for your help here.

I have not tried V3 to V4 yet but Morph Manager copied the morphs from an M2 outfit I converted to an M3 one and most worked okay. And I did a Hiro outfit for M3, the open morphs on that worked just fine when transferred. Morph Manager also let me copy Mike's body morphs into an outfit I'd bought that didn't have any at all. Now it's more useful, since it fits a bulky barbarian as well as a skinny elf. :-)
If there are body parts one item has that the other doesn't, that might be problematic though.

The reason I ask, is that the morph names transfered but the dials did nothing when I tried to use the morph. I transfered morphs from V3 Utiliz bodysuit to a V4 crossdresser copy and the morphs did not take.
Or do the morphs only work on the same figures not different figures.
I want to be able to transfer the clothing morphs like Hyongie gives in his lingerie over to the crossdresser copy of the same lingerie converted to V4. Any suggestions anyone.
Thanks Rowlando
