Subject: Turning V4 white... a MAT file just like the one V3 had.

jartz ( ) posted Mon, 29 October 2007 at 2:34 AM · edited Wed, 20 November 2024 at 2:41 AM

It's been a chore for me to make V4.1 white while applying textures I made for her.  Just going to the Material Room to get the figure white manually has been a hair-pulling approach, not to mention that when loading her,  I get the figure and the texture (her Simple MAT and the purple bikini bit, ha ha, hardy ha har), then have to go through V4's Material Pose to get it Mapless.  And that's where the fun part comes in - not.

With V3, they do have a White Mat Pose where you can apply your own textures and whatnot -- nonexistent for V4.

I have made a MAT Pose file that would turn her white with her eye areas including her eyebrows, which are hidden, transparent.  If anyone's interested, I would love to send it -- as a Freebie of course.

Let me know what you think.

JB

I would have thought it was quick & easy to make V4.1 or any other figure for that matter white, or any other colour you might want.
When you go into the Material Room all you need to do is clear the texture, bump and transparencies and change the colour for one body part then click on the little arrow at the top right of the pallet and select apply to all.

That and take the extra step of Saving that material collection to your material library and then you can one click apply it from that point on. But don't let that stop the OP from posting a freebie. Freebies are good! Especially to the new folks who don't know how to do anything yet.

Yes I agree Matrix, I wasn't trying to put JB down in any way or discourage from uploading to free stuff. I was just trying to point out how quick and easy clearing all textures is once you know how for future content that might require it. I forgot to add the bit about saving the materials to the library though, mainly cos I always forget to do it myself lol

There's also nothing to stop the OP - or anyone else for that matter - saving the textureless V4 back to the Figures library after.

Why do I have Free going through my head?  "All white now, baby it's all white now..."
