maybe Next time put "Help with render error " in the header... makes it more easy for other to see if they can help you
....just putting HELP in the header is not that handy..
A load of people dont check those "empty header ebots"
So you might Mis out on some good helping hands
But unless you have to print over 20x20 feet orso you dont need 600DPI...
The size of a 600 dpi image is extreem big and 99% of the time it will crash you system.
But unable to reach 300dpi dont look normal...
You better check polyloop or DAZ forums for more detail if this is a bug

Bar-Code -
Yeah, not the most descriptive subject line around. I was trying to writethenote quickly before I had to go and make dinner for the family.
I'm trying to go for 600 dpi since that's the resolution my laser printer is capable of. Plus my project requires the stuff be ready for print so I have to make my images accordingly or they'll look to pixelated.
Miss Nancy-
I've got 1GB RAM and 1GB scratch disk space. I thought that would be enough...
Actually more people will read this thread to find out what kind of help is needed, rather than just skipping over it.
That error message usually means to remove unused shaders and objects, save scene to disk, close Carrara and open file, render. If error again, defrag hard drive.
Does the scene render without using Toon Pro?

Basically you're just trying to help Carrara better find RAM and virtual RAM to work its scene in, assuming there is no corruption in your CAR file already.

Are you rendering to a file? That may be better than rendering to the screen.

I'm trying to render a black and white ToonPro image at a large enough size so I can print it. I set the render size to 8.5x11 and the dpi to 600, and I get "An unknown error has occurred" message. I've tried this in both C5 and C6 and I can only get as high as 150 dpi for a print resolution.
Any ideas?
