Hello Everyone,

I am posting a sincere request hoping someone can help me get in touch with Don Tatro's family.

God Bless

If you do some investigating you can probably find that information. Here is what I found online that can give you a start.

He died from a heart attack on June 19 in Scottsdale, Arizona at the age of 69

You can probably look up the obituary either online or order a back issue of the newspaper it was published in. The names of his surviving family will probably be listed along with a funeral home.

I tried searching online but couldn't find an obituary, but that's not to say there isn't one, just that I couldn't find one.

Ok, I did a bit more searching and found that the obituary was  published in The Arizona Republic on 6/23/2004

You can order a one day viewing of the archived publish of the obituary, online for $2.95. Go  to this link and type in Donald Tatro. His is the first one on the search page.

I don't know if don's widow wants her address/phone published/distributed. any hints on why one would wish to contact her?

Thank you Everyone for your help.

Miss Nancy please don't get me wrong I am not trying to intrude on the privacy of his widow.
I am just wanting to create some memorial pages on my website to Don, but unfortunately, the items I wish to use are all copyrighted and, without written permission/licence to post/distribute such material then I cannot publish these memorial pages.

I do not wish to upset anyone I just think that it is such a shame for other's not to be able to share the awesome work of this man's talents.

Once again, thank you
Sharren

IIRC, don said it was o.k. to use his items in our renders or images, so that much is safe. redistribution of his models or his renders will require permission, as you noted. do you have a website URL available, in case don's widow wants to check it out first?

Miss Nancy,

Yes, I do have a website.
I do not wish or intend on trying to profit  from Don's works in any way. I just want to keep his works available so others may see what a talented and generous man he was.
I am very copyright conscious and highly respect the hard work of other artists.

I am in the process of updating my website pages and uploading my own creations to share.
No adult material will ever be uploaded and displayed to my website, I wish it to be a place that all will feel comfortable visiting.

Please feel free to judge for yourself and form your own opinion of my website.

Thank you for taking the time to help me it is most appreciated.

o.k., I sent ya the info. we'll see what happens. IMVHO she has the training to deal with internet forum users, but I didn't know if she is desirous of same, hence my concern. assuming she approves, contact ken mccarthy at legume's poser newsgroup for further info.

Hi Miss Nancy,

I did manage to contact Mrs. Tatro and have had a reply to my email.
I explained what I wanted to do.

Mrs. Tatro has given me written permission to do a memorial/tribute to Don and a licence to distribute his copyrighted works.

Is there someone here at Renderosity that I have to email a copy of this as proof of permission/licence. I do not think it would be safe to upload this email and have it displayed on the internet.

Yours Sincerely
Heavenly_Spirit

send an e-mail back to her and ask if it's o.k. to distribute copies of her e-mail, in case anybody asks for proof. in general, when posting copyrighted material on a website, include this notice with each item: "posted with permission of copyright holder (name of person)".
