Subject: What the heck happend. Forum is white and can't see messages!!

tebop ( ) posted Sat, 17 November 2007 at 9:55 AM · edited Tue, 24 December 2024 at 7:03 AM

Who the heck had the idea to change the color of the forum's message table ( or whatever it is). It's white, and the thread titles are bright light Grey. that's a terrible combination. it's so st***d. I'm seeing this on a mac. did anyone else have any beef.. or maybe it looks different on windows and renderosity just hates mac users?

Nothing has changed. It sounds like the page didn't load properly for you.

Try emptying your browser cache and cookies for the site, rebooting and then logging back in.

Aaargh! I am blind! This is even worse than at Daz a few months ago.

tebop ( ) posted Sat, 17 November 2007 at 10:01 AM

Then you must be lucky. I have this blinding white in Firefox and in IE7.

Acadia ( ) posted Sat, 17 November 2007 at 10:06 AM

Actually. I just went to the Poser Forum list of threads and that page is white.  However each thread is displaying properly.

It might be that they are doing an update of some kind. I remember when they were changing the web set for the site after the contest that some pages displayed white until it was all loaded.

SSAfam1 ( ) posted Sat, 17 November 2007 at 10:16 AM

I'm sure it's only temporary.

tebop ( ) posted Sat, 17 November 2007 at 10:17 AM

well remember when we got this current blue? Everyone hated it and it wasn't temporary: ) he he.

Actually, I don't recall much negativity about this new site design and colour scheme.

I got the same problem too-until I got to this thread--I thought that it didn't load properly either, so I did a re load-same thing--it does look like a server-I-think problem.

Copy and paste the default style sheet into the custom css area in "My Forum Options", then save changes.  You should get back to the normal style then.

If that don't work, clear your cache and re-login.

What is the code for the default style sheet?

EDIT: Found it. It's hidden, lol

Thanks Paul :)

In your forum options. Go to CSS and it says, "SHOW/HIDE default..." Click it to SHOW it and then copy the whole thing. Go right above that box and paste the whole thing there. Right below, "Save changes"

Same here in Netscape 9, clearing the cache didn't fix it either. Anyone know what borked the darn thing?

Porthos ( ) posted Sat, 17 November 2007 at 11:59 AM

Works fine for me using Firefox.

MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 12.0GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 7770

PoserPro 2012 (SR1) - Units: Metres , Corel PSP X4 and PSE 9

mervpaine ( ) posted Sat, 17 November 2007 at 12:16 PM

I haven't done anything and it's working fine now.

tebop ( ) posted Sat, 17 November 2007 at 12:16 PM

Ok now it's back to normal. i didn't have to do anything. i guess renderosity folks just fixed it.

Plutom ( ) posted Sat, 17 November 2007 at 12:40 PM

Yep, they fixed it---didn't change a thing either----the site owners are quite fast---reminds me of when I was in  the service--had Job Control keep on calling me up as to what the status was and I was tempted to save-leave me the ------heck alone so I can fix the ----problem

(In the Air Force Job Control takes in problems from the user, monitors the progress of the repair/ordering of parts/part status/ etc and updates the Commander of what's happening).  Got to the point that some folks would order a $.05 resistor just to shut them up so they could fix the thing in piece.
