Subject: Wrong EXIF info?

astro66 ( ) posted Tue, 20 November 2007 at 1:28 PM · edited Fri, 29 November 2024 at 3:21 PM

Just posted an image to the gallery but shot info says the shutter speed was 5368709/536870912 when it should read 1/100? Any ideas as to what is going on here?  😕

Actually, 5368709/536870912  is so darn close to 1/100  ( Actually, 0.0099999998 sec)
I wouldn't worry about it...but I see what you mean...LOL!...must be a rendo glitch.
When I checked my EXIF viewer...your image showed 1/100 sec.

I did think it must be a RR thing so I'm not worried, lol... however I did wonder if it might be a Nikon thing as I notice pretty much everyone else has it shown correctly. Although everyone else seems to be using Canon, lol. 😄

Maybe the Nikon is more precise than the Canon....

I have noticed this in the past - but i have seen it more in photos which look like they have been taken with compact cameras and i just thought it was something to do with that.  You know, 6mm lenses and all that jazz 😉

Yup, it's definitely Nikons fault 😉 It might be a problem with R'osity reading the exif info. I think there was a thread about this before (i could be wrong though).

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

The mighty Nikon at fault? Never!

No to worry though, I guess the RR gremlins strike again

@Celtic Lass.....Yes, it is your camera!!!
Your D300 has a serious problem!
However, to help you out.....I would be willing to trade you my fully functional D70 for your defective D300....LOL
