They have it for the 5.5 version which should help you with the 5.0 version it is in PDF version. If the link doesn't take you there it is on daz under suport /downloads and updates for Bryce

Just had a thought...will the 5.5 update screw up my free 5.0...just before I update and potentially screw it all up?

I am not sure bobby since I bought my 5.0 before it went free and before Daz took over we were given the 5.5 upgrade free and 6.0 was at a great discount for being a platinum member .

It does say demo so it might.

I'll hold off on installing it then as it mainly addresses DAZ problems and so far I don't use/haven't come to grips with DAZ Studio.....thanx Sandy.. ...

Hi I have 5,5.5 and 6 on my pc.I just keep them in separate files and I got all three versions from DAZ.

I don't why though...sentiment I suppose.Or am I hedging my bets that Bryce will be going backwards developmentaly?

I have B5.s and b6.0. and B6.1 and B6.1.13...whatever it is, and all of them work, and I just let them install however they wanted to.  It's always a good idea to save your presets before installing anything though, just in case.

I particularly like to have a B6 (insert extra numbers here) version as well as B5.5c, as that way I can try out things in the version without IBL as well as with IBL, in fact I'm just now doing some tests to see if using B6 with no IBL looks the same as B5.5 au naturel.
(as well as other lighting tests)

Come to think, I believe the installer says "found an earlier version of Bryce" - and then either asks if you want to install over it, or asks if you want to keep the old one too - however it phrases it - go for the option that lets you keep both.

bobbystahr,

Here is Bryce5_Manual_DAZ. and it says Bryce 5.0.

http://www.speedyshare.com/874764558.html
Or
http://www2.speedyshare.com/data/874764558/7632879/51985482/Bryce5_Manual_DAZ.pdf

Don't know how long they will keep the file at the site but it is there now so get it now.

Says in the readme I made that the Bryce is version: 5.0.3.0

Then I had in my notes Bryce 5 Presets you can still get here if you need them.

Your welcome. I got the Corel version of Bryce in a box around here someplace also that has the help files that I think were .html files too but maybe not. I don't have it installed now and it was so long ago I forget but the Help did work on the Corel version.
Ok I found it and it is a Bryce5_Manual.pdf. dated 5/24/01 and it is a little smaller file but if you want it then get the Bryce5_Manual_Corel.pdf here.
http://www.speedyshare.com/516641408.html
Or
http://www3.speedyshare.com/data/516641408/7634571/20527369/Bryce5_Manual_Corel.pdf
Where on the Daz version clicking on Help does not do anything.
But that 5.0 should be what you need and I got it back on 8/23/06 alone with two Bryce.
A Bryce5FreeVersionPC.zip that you just unzip the Bryce and it is 5.0.3.0 but you have to Registration Code to get it to work. Then I got the same day  ps_ap075_Bryce5.exe but can't tell what version it is but I think it is the same.
I think I got the one download from DAZ site and the other from C-net downloads.
