I got tired of waiting for the anti-aliasing to finish as I'm now sure it's stuck, this is as good as it gets: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1573752My very first SOW... with a twist.

DaM,
Yeah, aren't they? Like the texture on the sphere, and the lighting you've chosen looks very...English woodland actually. Very nice.

Yes DaM, I like that piece very much. I just love what HDRI can do as a reflective object map feature. It gives it an entirely new dimension that can hardly be achieved through regular reflective mapping. With that I'm in total agreement, and not to detract from your wonderful image, but HDRI is available in Bryce ver. later than 5.0.1. Your image reminds me I'm an old-timer in Bryce.
As a side note, I'm wondering when Bryce 7.0 is looking to make a debut. I really do not intend to upgrade until well after Bryce 7.0 and even then it still has to show me that it's worth the expenditure before I fork over my hard earned cash since to me, anything after ver. 5.0.1 is really not worth the money to date IMO. I'm sure this topic is food for another thread. And perhaps it should spill over into a new thread.
Suffice it to say that although I can create HDRI effects with my older, higher end 3D graphics packages I hardly think that Bryce beyond 5.0.1 is hardly worth the cost for that feature and as a result I have held off buying into it. Also, I'm sure lack of real feature upgrades in Bryce in such a long time is the reason we don't have any real activity as we once enjoyed in this forum.

Wow, frogdot, you've certainly made a lot out of Redrope. Love the beach image, and the 'small moons floating' is very intriguing - sort of Swiftian.
