I finally voted too! No! I did not vote for myself!  :)

Are there actually dynamic hair props out there that look halfway decent?

Yes there are. Try this site. Make sure you read the readme for instructions. These props are worked in the Pose room not the hair room.

Thankks. ^_^ Guess I'll give it one more try and see what happens! LOL

Check with Porthos. She has done images with dynamic hair props from Adorana with great success.  She has posted one or two in the forums in the past.  See if she has any around that she can show you.

Since voting was delayed, I'm assuming there will be an equal amount of delay to announce the results.

was kind of wondering the same thing.

We are in the 6th of December
No word ..not a simple word to explain us
No one from Rosity staff take a glimpse in this forum ???
I wonder if it will always take this time

Usually it takes a week after the contests to announce the results, so I guess we will have news today or tomorrow at the latest. I'm also keen to know who won.

Jen delayed the voting to allow a few people who had trouble with their uploaded image. Apparently some didn't upload all the way or something.  So she allowed those people a few extra days to reupload their image.

I'm assuming because voting was delayed due to that, that the voting was extended by a few days and so was the announcement.

There was no prize associated with the contest, just something fun to do. So in my books everyone who entered is a winner :)

Hello Arcadia

The voting have been closed the exact date ...I tested it the day after
it was not possible to vote
Is this delay normal ? I never participated before and the contest for next holiday I would like to participate but I just dont know now
WE ARE IN THE 8 th of December
Where is JenX ???
HOPE to ear a word from some one from the site .
 have a nice week end

An update from admin would be apprecaited

Aatilas ( ) posted Sat, 08 December 2007 at 4:04 PM

I believe so

Greywolf Starkiller ( ) posted Sat, 08 December 2007 at 4:48 PM

While you might be right about an update, this is NOT a contest. It is a challenge only.
No prizes. As such, with all the christmas hoopla, it is likely rather low on the totem
pole as regards to updating. I'm patient.

shame... the prize of the challange is 5 minutes of fame for the winner... but you have tu wait for it forever!!! :)

Every now and then it crosses my mind to volunteer for rendo (like JenX and Karen and Jumpstartme and Sam and number of other people are).
Then I remember posts like this and think, man, there's just no way I could respond in a nice, customer service-like manner.

Conniekat, you've always been diplomatic, even when pissed off. :)
I, on the other hand, am blunt and to the point. Comes of having to deal with
customers all day. Heh.

Acadia, Acadia, Acadia! You just missed a golden opportunity to be snide!
You SHOULD have corrected his misspelling of your name, then corrected
the grammar mistakes, and THEN said what you did. One must NEVER miss
the chance to be snide as it comes so rarely. :)

While I agree with everyone who mentioned the fact that this was "only" a challenge, and there were no prizes at stake, you'd think that JenX's absence would have been noticed  by other  members of staff, and that someone would have stepped into the breach so-to-speak and at least have told us to "hold our horses, a decision would be forthcoming"  or something.

Greywolf Starkiller ( ) posted Sat, 08 December 2007 at 9:53 PM

A point, but the objection we had was not with what they said, but HOW they said it. I hear this
type of 'you owe me' tone from customers every day, and it touched a nerve. The DAZ forums
have a similar problem. SIGH.

SamTherapy ( ) posted Sun, 09 December 2007 at 5:29 AM

The Poser forum ain't my department so I wouldn't presume to step in with any announcement on this matter.  I do know, however, that Jen has been having problems with her own computer rig, which is probably the reason for the delay.

As noted, this is a challenge, not an official contest so please keep yer hair on.  Things will be moving along as soon as possible.

First of all, I want to apologize for the huge delay.

My hard drive went to Electronics Heaven at the beginning of the month, and the only thing I've had 'net access with is my boyfriends' Sidekick.  Which....doesn't load Renderosity :(  Compounded with being slammed at work, I wasn't able to call anyone during business hours to let them know what was going on (and Rendo is blocked from work, too).

So, in about 3 minutes, I'll be posting the results....thank you guys for being patient.

Is there any reason we can't post our entry from the contest into our gallery? I think there was some rule about Renderosity perhaps using the pictures for their own purposes. Can JenX or someone in authority comment?

Thanks

You can post your entry to your gallery.  They mean that it can't be posted in your gallery during the contest. But I don't  think that is a serious rule because some of the entries, including one of the winning ones, were posted in the gallery before being entered into the contest.

We really just prefer, and ask, that you not.  It's not a steadfast rule, but we prefer to keep all entries in the challenge in the challenge only until it's over.
