might want a bit more epicanthic fold. I think that's a dominant gene (but what do I know?) maybe the lacrimals can move away from the nose (I almost sound like I know what I'm talking about).
It's a great looking model, regardless...
I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

Thanks,
I wil try and see what it looks.
I am not a expert myself eather and used the characteristics as far as I know them.
I widend the nose, cheekbones and jaw a bit.
And lifted the lower eyelid.
I think the eye's came out pretty nice, she looks quiet furyous =)

An excellent try, but the face might be a little too long. If you haven't already, try google-image and search for japanese face. Jessie is not an easy character to work with.
Well done, though. I wish I could help more.

Thanks for the help and pointers all.
Jessi is not a easy person to work with indeed, kind of my type =)
Well I searched the web for pictures and looked around for characteristics.
And started working on Jessi with the found info.
Had to add quiet a few magnets, so I better keep her away from metal objects ;-)
The end result is fairly good I think, and I still can tweek her with the new dials.
I even added a dial for the Epicanthal fold.
I slowly get her to were I want to, but still a lot of work to do.

The eyes dont quite seem so much a Euro-Asiatic mix as just squinting in bright light. You have them curving up along the base line when Japanese eyes are more straight lines. Even mixed with a European curve (which goes down along the base), you'd still see something a bit opposite of what you're presenting now.

Thanks SeanMartin for the pointer.
I get the feeling that the curve up is more Chinese.
The epicanthal fold in the close up is a bit to heavy, now every time I look at it it gives me the idea of a vampire from Buffy. =)
So more adjustment needed.
BastBlack, thanks for the link.
That is some great material there to work with.
The lighting in the renders are not great, just set up to light them.
Well back to my dials and magnets =)
As a side note, I made the Dragunov in Blender.
Not perfect yet, need to fidle around with the textures more.
But thats a problem to deal with later =)

Something I would suggest is getting rid of that excessive nostril arch. One of the main reasons I've done very little work with Jessie is 'cos of that - I don't recall seeing anyone (well, maybe one) with nostrils like that. Which (IMHO) makes them rare, and in the CG world, screams "Jessie".
Much like Judy's lips do...

Diolma

Hello All,
Curently I work on a litle project for myself.
The project is about a girl with a Japanese father and European mother.
So she hase to have both characteristics in her.
As a base I used Jessi and fidled around with magnets.
Below is the result so far (on the left =) )
I am interested to know if I did catch the right look.
I am totaly new to 3D modeling, so any advice is welcome =)
Thanks in advance.
