Subject: White gold ring

Would anyone happen to know where I might find a white gold ring (with no stones)  for M3, I've searched but I don't seem to be finding anything..

Just thought someone here might know off hand.

Thanks

Flatten a torus and add an appropriate material to it.  Dead easy.

It be in the Props folder, Primitives I believe, depending on your version of Poser.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Here are some ready made rings that you can apply a chrome material to.  They aren't for M3, but you can resize them and then go to "Object" and "Change Parent" and parent it to the finger.

Thank you all so much! I did try doing a ring with the torus in primitives, so far no luck. I got it to look like I wanted but not to fit onto his finger correctly. Definitely worth trying again.  I'll use one of the free rings Acadia listed.  I've always wanted to do a project made up of images of characters from my favourite series of books and the white gold ring is important for that.

One thing about getting the torus to fit, use magnets to shape it. Something to play with when you get the time and inclination.

You'll probably also need a way to remove the ring finger and pinky of the right hand of M3 - if my guess of your favorite series is right.
Here's how you do that:

  • select rPinky1 and set its Taper value to 100%
  • select rPinky2 and set its Scale value to 0%
  • select rPinky3 and set its Scale value to 0% and Visible to false

Same for rRing1,rRing2,rRing3.

Oh! You're 100% right! Thanks soo much for the pointer, I'll need that, looking at what you have there, what I planned wouldn't have worked.

And nickedshield, thank you, I hadn't thought of magnets, I've never messed with them and I really Should learn, seems like they'd be handy.
