Do you still have a film camera or any sort?

Would you be interested in a mini challenge of shooting film?

I would be, but the motor on my film camera packed up.  That's why I went digital

I've still got the whole kit! Got rid of the darkroom, tho!

TwoPynts ( ) posted Mon, 07 January 2008 at 7:42 AM

I am not sure my old SLRs still work. Getting them to would be a challenge in and of itself. ;'P I'd still participate, even if i just used a P&S.

Haha - that is the challenge - finding and getting your film cam to work... i see where you are going with this bruce! :tongue2:

I could participate actually - my dad has his 35mm Slr hanging around somewhere.  Although it might be a bit of trouble digitising it... i do have a scanner knocking around somewhere but i dont know where the installation disc is (it is my brothers which he left here when he moved out).

I still have film cameras.

In principle I will participate - depends on time and nature of the challenge.

I see that inshaala was interested in the challenge whan he said,

my dad has his 35mm SLR hanging around somewhere.

OTOH, he was worried that,

it might be a bit of trouble digitising it

That is very easy to solve ...

Whan you get the film processed, have them burn the images to a CD ...
and don't even bother getting prints.

... well, getting an index card wouldn't hurt.

See ... stating the problem got you advice and reduced your cost.

p.s. It's almost like having a Management Consultant in the family.

I see that Fred255 lamented that,

the motor on my film camera packed up

"motor"??? ... film cameras have motors???

None of my flm cameras have motors -- at least 2 of them don't even
have electronics.

Sure I have lots of 35m Cameras :/ Unfort I sold my Canon EoS II
Lets make it even more intresting & only allow box cameras :x

inshaala ( ) posted Tue, 08 January 2008 at 5:45 AM

There was a disposable camera challenge a month or so back - i think we should be allowed non- "box film" cameras :)

I have two film cameras and several rolls of film that probably is out of date.I do not get excited about film anymore.being retired there is limited money for developing costs

MGD ( ) posted Sat, 12 January 2008 at 7:14 PM

I see that Richardphotos mentioned,

film that probably is out of date

Suppose that was part of the challenge?  ... you would have to use expired film.

Then many of us would probably have a good supply of it! ;']

Got a few film cameras lying around - oddly, I pulled one out the other day and longingly mused that I need to find a reason to use it...

What did you have in mind? I'm game!

Sounds like a great idea.
Including my old Olympus I've got a few others ranging from a mint Brownie to a Speed Graphic.
Haven't shot on film though for about three years.
