TO DAZ.  Are there simple, step by step BEGINNER tutorials anywhere?  I dl'd a bunch of clothes and faces and hair, and have them in their own folder... How do I apply them to the Victoria 3 that came with DAZ? ANY help would be so appreciated!!! THANKS!

Start here:

   Daz

AND  read the help manual.  If you didn't download the help manual you can get it at the link above.

Thanks Annie,

Another question.  Where do I put all the stuff I dl'd... They all were zips. which I extracted into a folder just for "my daz stuff", but I read somewhere that all of that has to go directly into the daz folder... how do I know which one goes where?  Thanks!

It makes a difference if you are using windows pc or a mac..and whether the stuff you downloaded is for daz studio or poser.
Here is a link that may answer some of your questions.  But, keep asking them because that's how you learn.       There are people here who know lots more than I do and one will pop in and answer any question you may have.  The people here are very good to help.

I have the manual, but it says it's being updated or something!  It really gives no help at all.   This is all I have:

Cica...do you have adobe reader?  It's free and you need it to read the ds manual in pdf form.
I'm not sure what you have there but it isn't the same manual I have.  :D

Click on this link

ds manual pdf

the first thing it says is....
Daz Studio
Manuals
click here to download the daz studio artist guide as a pdf

If you click it it starts the download...it should be 7.77 MB and the file name is ds_manual.pdf
When you get it all you have to do is dbl click it and read.  (if you have adobe reader installed)

If you need adobe acrobat reader to read pdf files..here's the link to it.  It is free but be sure to uncheck the google tool bar unless you want it too.

adobe reader

If you have adobe and download the artist guide you will have most of the info you need to get started learning daz studio.

There used to be a quick-start guide last year, if you can find that, it's quite useful.

The quick start guide is in the daz studio program under the "help" menu.
