Hi gang, well 3DWorld Magazine Issue 100 finally arrived in my portion of the US.

However, for the first time, my three copies and I repeat three copies of the issue's CD is blank (no autorun, CD title missing (default title CD-RW present), Window's explorer indicates empty disk.  In the start/run program list, there are the exe files present along with everything on my other drives, just when clicking on them I get no path found.

Purchased two magazines from Barnes and Noble,  with identical problems and one at Books-a-Million--ditto.

Of course the stores were kind enough to refund my money.

Yep, that is the first thing I check, did my CD-RW drive go belly up?  The answer is no, my Issue 99 disk works just fine.

Since it happened with three different magazines, two different stores, I'm guessing that there was a reproduction (burning) problem for that batch at 3DWorld Magazine or they changed over to a format that my computer doesn't recognize.

Anyone else in the States having the same problem?  Plutom

What BAR-CODE said. There's more content than what would normally fit on a CD.

Might be a good excuse to upgrade. Besides, decent DVD drives (and with burners too!) aren't terribly expensive. (Should be able to find one under $50.)

Yeah!  I'm sort of mad plus embarrassed that I skipped over the portion stating it was a DVD, I just checked out the .objs and Carrara requirements and a general scan of troubleshooting the disk didn't notice anything indicting new format.  Normally insert the puppy extract what I want then scan the mag, pick out what interests me first etc.   Just  ASSumed that it was like all the prior disks.  Feel guilty that I returned everything 19 times well three magazines to the stores-well sort of guilty-heck I'll take some of the blame-no I won't, I didn't change the darn format, they did!

Btw, I believe there might also be a download available at the DAZ registration link listed in the magazine DVD insert. He might still have a shot at it. I dunno if that's getting mean. :huh:

OMG ... now i re read my repley .. i see that my good intensions can be read the wrong way.
IM not DISSING YOU !! i meant you made up as in "made good" not that you lie about it.
I translated my dutch into english the wrong way..
What i "tryed" to say was .. YOU made good on the OOPS by saying you made such mistake.
Because telling honestly you are so mistaken you must have big balls !!
