Oh that looks like a fairly simple model, therefore simple UV's - is it okay if I take a look at the UVmaps?
It might help me get better at UVMapping - and I need all the help I can get with that.

That's great, that's all I've got anyway.
Thanks

I model a lot of stuff to learn how various things work , or dont :( . Most of them are saved in a big work folder, so I have a few hundred models that are mostly complete , or complete but not good :)
If it looks reasonable to me I will sometimes post it as a freebie , but more often they just get deleted when the folder gets too big . I figure I can always make it again if I need it .
I used to have a couple of hundred models... once.... before they were all nicked.
(sob!)
Now I'm trying to (eventually) build up my collection, but it takes a while re-modelling things.

Well some of them were nice, but it's probable that a vast amount were either just incremental saves while working or else just... crappy, not that I recommend this as a method of finding out but it is a good opportunity of finding out how much your skills have improved - and happily, I think mine have - my speed's increased too.
The only problem is finding the time to re-create models - preferably before you go - "ah heck, and I used to have one of those" - with a deadline looming.
Lol.
P.S. Insert much bigger swear word in place of "heck".

I just put a model up at http://www.sharecg.com/v/23211/3d-model/aircraft---observation
its an obj file, scaled for Poser , material groups and uv mapped (roughly)
it was done as a background object for a scene so isnt detailed .
