Subject: D|S and Duel core

I wanted to ask this before doing anything..i am going to be upgrading my computer before long, want to get up with the times.
Now one main question i have about D|S is, will there be any problems with using a duel core processor.

What i am plan on getting.

Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.6 GHz, Socket AM2 65W
Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 Motherboard, Socket AM2+
4GB DDR2 667MHz  2x2gig blocks : i know some will state this is to much, other reasons for getting 4 gig.
8600 GT, GeForce 8600 GT, 256MB, DDR3, PCIe-16, TV out, DVI, HDTV, SLI ready

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

no problems at all -- D|S will render as many buckets simultaniously as you have cores.

I use D/S With AMD 64 Athlonx2 4000 and have not had any problems, in fact i have noticed a big increase in rendering power and that I don't have the render times I used to before I got dual core

I currently Run dual core AMD64x2 +4000 brisbanes, 4 gigs of ddr2 ram 4-1gb boards, and dual sli with 2-nvidia msi 8500gt cards, and my studio renders a crapload faster then my old tower which was a p3 800mhz,  so to answe you question yes D|S works well with what you planning on build,  if you runnin at 32 bit system, you can't use more then 4 gigs of ram, I talked to Daz on the phone about this b4 i set up my new computer, they had no idea how the dual video cards work work with DAZ Studio, but first test i did with it, it rendered with dual rendering, meaning it was rendering 2 lines per the normal one with single video card.  hope this was helpful

there's a moon, flowers will never die.  And neither will us wolves...
