Where do you obtain Lip Sync or txt talk files for V4.2 for Poser 7 talk designer? Or do you have to record them yourself. In talk designer they only offer files for the Poser 7 figures.Cheers

There's a Talk Designer exansion kit, created by Shaders Cafe, available over at Content Paradise. They've just updated it to included visemes for V4.2, although you have to do a little jiggerypokery first to get it to work. Check out their site for further details.

About three hours ago! Perhaps I am barking up the wrong tree.I recieved an email from Content Paradise to say that the Victoria 4.2 issue had been resolved and to go and re download the expansion kit.I have done this and made the necesssary changes in the text editor as suggested. Victoria 4.2 phonemes loaded ok.When I open Talk Designer up in Poser 7 Victoria 4.2 xml appears.But when I try to add .wav files Poser says "This audio format is not reconized by Poser" Also it wants some sort of text file that does not exist.Any help would be apprecuate. Cheers

That sounds like it's the Talk Designer itself you're having problems with, rather than V4.2's implementation within it. Have you tried using it with any other charcters?

i have a copy of poserspeak. it is much easier because you put your dialogue in a text file and it does the rest. there are no audio files involved. you have to purchase an asapi4 voice and there are many good ones available for both male and female and even for other languages. it uses windows text to speech technology and is quite reliable.

there are samples of the output on the website. i don't remember the url but it is easy to find and i can provide it if you want. i also have a sample i generated for testing and can put it on my website. i am currently doing other things but i intend to return to it to make things for my new site.

As far as I can remember, the wave file needs to be single channel mono. Try re-saving the sound file in this format. To accompany the wav, you also need to create a plain text file for the words spoken and load this also into the talk designer.

and or if you deleted the character or reapplied the wva talk dfesigner will sometimes freak out, try restarting Poser 1st
