oh cool .can it be used for making say textures ,modified, with make up etc... and sold for a small fee? like 5 usd? hehe or personal use?

EnglishBob ( ) posted Mon, 25 February 2008 at 6:04 AM

Yes it can. From the readme:

Quote - You may use this texture freely on commercial or non-commercial work. You may distribute it freely as well. All I ask is that you give credit where credit is due and email me a link to any projects you may post anywhere so I can see what you've done with my little girl. I am a proud papa and want to know what my kids are up to all the time!

The Gimp is good - but some people say it's not easy to learn. I guess that having no money would be a good incentive to keep working at it. :) It is the best free image program out there. You might want to consider Paint.NET also - I hear it's very good, although maybe not as capable as The Gimp, but easier to learn. However it is limited as to the computers it will run on; it needs Windows XP SP2+, Vista, or Windows Server 2003 SP1+.

There is a beginner Textures Kit at this link:

Here is a link that has some tutorials in it for texturing

"It is good to see ourselves as others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not angry with our critics but will take in good
heart whatever they might have to say." - Ghandi
