Subject: need help tweaking animated ocean

LonRanger ( ) posted Sun, 09 March 2008 at 11:41 PM · edited Thu, 10 October 2024 at 2:20 PM

Hi,

I am working on an animated ocean scene (a stormy sea).  I have found the instructions in the manual for animating oceans, but I was trying to make the waves bigger and slower, and have not been successful.  Any ideas?

Hop over to Cornucopia3d and look for Philippe Bouyer's stormy sea scene. Phoul worked out a way to use a terrain as the kinds of wave you get in a stormy sea. the provided scene is so you can take it apart and see how he did it.

Well...close, but no cigar.  It says that you need Vue 6 to use his files.  I have Vue 5 Infinite...

Here's a tutorial I wrote on the open ocean fractal.
