Hi,

I'd like some tips on how to work with this photo.  Lighting and shadows mostly, since I want to make a reflection.  I'm working with reflections in CS3 Extended this week, and I feel confident to work with Daz|Studio to produce what I'd like to produce.

I attached the Stock Photo I recently purchased below.  It's a Brazilian Cherry hardwood floor, and let me tell you; some Brazilian Cherry Trees gave up their lives to produce the photo you see below. :sad:

Yes, something like that.  Only my subject matter is a digital human being.  I'm doing a simple nude pinup like you'd see on SimpleNudes.net or DOMAI.com. 

You want the model to reflect on the floor, correct?

Wow!  I had just read that tutorial.  Next question, where can I find a floor prop that is Brazillian Cherry wood?  I trust there is one on this site.  Yes, correct! :D

well,  you can texture anything to look like brazilian cherry wood.  Or, you can cheat and recolor it in the surface settings, either way.  Your best bet for texturing is to find a heads-on shot of a plank of the wood.  You might be able to find a decent photo at a home decor shop, and there may be some textures for purchase out there.  I'd start at your local home decor shop, though.

If what you get is exactly what you see except without the logo, ie no more of the wood is visible (not just a larger image of that thumbnail - then I really don't see how it will work, since it would stretch too much when putting in on the planks... however:-
