Subject: Celeb Face Modeling in Poser

I want to create some celebrity face morphs from photos loaded into the background of Poser. I have tons of morph objects for the face and head. Does anyone know of any tutorials or does any one have any tips for me Please? Thanks! Josiah

Yes, you can use the skin of the celeb. There's a tut for but I don't know the address. You can use the headskin and paste it on the uvmap. and then you can create the rest of the skin

Thanks Remco45, that will help with the texturing, but I also would really would like to alter the geometry to closely match the picture as possible using the morphs, sounds easy, but I would welcome any tips as I can't find any tutorials on this. Thanks again! Josiah

I can certainly tell you...it is tough... I was using V2 for my face modelling since there are so many morph targets built into it. The biggest tip I can give is have patience keep working til you get results your satisfied with. It takes a long time to get them looking just right. I am not sure how many hours I have spent trying to make Miss Cox at the link I supplied just right...

Thanks Cromwell1, I hope my efforts pan out as good as yours did.

Visit my tutorial section; there's a tut on a better method for modeling from scans. The principle is to map the scan to a rectangle prop, stick the rectangle prop in the head ('slicing' from ear to ear) and set the head's display mode to wireframe. Get the morphs from MorphWorld and be patient. Better still, learn how magnets work. It takes me on average about eleven iterations of a head before it becomes acceptable. I'd suggest shaping the head first, then work from the nose outward. If you're using Vicky, her eyes are tilted in a way which doesn't match most women. Either the Vicky2 'slant' dial or my 'eyefix' morph (in freestuff) can correct this. Come to think of it, the basics of modeling should be another tutorial...
