Sorry for the delete this below was suppose to go on with the image::
Another one from yours truly:
named it "troubled"
When I feel troubled with a worried mind
When I'm stressed because of life and time
The salvation I can still find,is a walk alone
The pressure of the day can slowly slipped away
like the sands of time along the shores:
when life hands you lemons
add vodka:
** ** poem by yours truly
The Intruder
How do I overcome
Something I cannot see
The pain so deep inside of me
My back my legs my head my hands
You bind me like a rubber band
But you will not discourage me
I will fight back so you will see
that also deep inside of me
A strong and determined mind in me
When you hit you do not play,
Just when I think your gone away
You slam me down,in your hard way
You play a game,I will not play
I'm stubborn, and I am strong
I'll beat your game someday
and you'll be gone:
on your way,forever
for all people who suffer and feel alone"
a short poem about FMS (fibromyalgia)

you inspired me, evie, with your latest entry... here's one more from me, including poem by yours truly (it's a longer one though, so i haven't reprised it here)...Attached Link: soaring
ahhhh, i never could resist just one more at 'last call'... ;) accordingly, here's one last entry from yours truly... as with my previous two entries, this one comes with a poem:Soaring**
Alone
Aloft
On silent wings
Amid hawks
Clouds
God's wondrous things
Drifting
Sifting the mysteries of life
At one with the sky
I fly**
I'd wanted to make a poem about the Phoenix Triumphant to balance all those who think that solitary = sad, but only have phrases, not a sound structure.
I find it somewhat amazing that with all these entries we have no lighthouse-keepers, hermits, guardians, or champions in the Irish mode (alone on the bridge, causeway, ford) or anybody on solitary quest or vigil. Perhaps this speaks of modern sensibilities, where everybody has a cellphone glued to their ear, even in a crowd, and being disconnected is devastating.
Can we please leave the voting until Friday? I'm goin off-world for a couple and won't be back till Thursday night GMT.

Well, now that everyone's back together, let's open the voting! What an interesting challenge we had this month! I really enjoyed seeing some writing as well as visual art. We have 3 pages of images this month, be sure to look at them all. It's time to start the voting! Please vote in this thread, after this entry. You get to choose your 3 favorite entries, giving each of them 3, 2 or 1 points. Remember, you are choosing an entry, not an artist. If someone has posted more than one entry, you need to indicate which is your choice.
Your vote should look something like this:
Ivanttu - "beAlone" - 3 points
Sin - "gular" - 2 points
1and - "Only" - 1 point
Feel free to nominate Honorable Mentions or make comments.

Anybody who is a member of Renderosity can vote.
We usually don't vote for our own entries. On occasion there have only been 2-3 entries, and to avoid the embarrassment of having to vote for our own work, we come to an agreement... like declaring us all winners and a group decision on the next month's challenge.
Because, after all, getting something finished and entered is a victory for many of us.

OK, my votes...
Exquisite work... and that car is so isolated that there isn't even a track of a road back to civilization.
I live with a constant migraine, and pain isolates a person by keeping them from being fully human and in the human community... especially if the source of the pain isn't obvious. The red skeleton conveys this effectively working with the words.
The poem is very strong. Even in a shared bed, you can be alone.
Atlas is definitely a solitary figure, with the weight of the world at war on his shoulders. Yet he still stands upright. He doesn't just drop the ball and walk back to his buddies.
A very nice showing all around with many good entries.
Carolly

Fractals will always amaze me!
Hi,
I just wanted to say a big thanks to those who voted for me. It was interesting to take part in this challenge, seeing the different formats people used on a single theme.
How long have I got to come up with a theme for the new challenge?
I'll have to get thinking on something interesting enough & broad enough that a wide range of us can take part in.
Thanks,
Stormy.

Viv,Given the other deadlines this month, taking the pressure off is perhaps a Good Thing.
Stormchaser,
Congratulations! And don't worry too hard about a broad topic: no matter what the theme, we'll push the borders of it. Given what happened with hot dogs, I think we can handle anything. ;)

We've got a new theme... for April/May... and here is the link to it in case the linkydink doesn't work:http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2736998
Should be interesting, especially for those of us who usually try to be in bed by then! ;^)
