...Just looking for constructive criticism. I just got my degree in computer science, so I'm not much of an "artist". I hope Im not posting too much:). These where taken on a vacation to Gulf Shores.

Well, if you want to take me on vacation with you, I'd be glad to sit in that water and talk about anything computers LOL...

You caught the bubbles. I Neato. congrats. I always wanted to catch somethign transatory. Like that. OK creative critism. What is the principal subject matter? You may want to enlarge the picture and crop to highlight the subject. But the colors look fine. Bsteph

Hey Lil this maybe what Bsteph was talking about then again maybe not. if you get rid of the extra stuff the subject stands out more. This could even be cropped some more on the left

...Ahhh.. I see:). I wanted to get the beach a little more cause it is a vacation picture. You know, "here I am in front of the water" kinda thing.

The third picture is well composed. With a catchy title it would be a winner. All that work, building the sand city. They are having a fine day.

Personally I'm a great fan of bubbles. So I concentrated upon the first picture although they are all fine pictures and the sand castle is the TajMahal! RJH was right I figured to centralize the main subject matter. The first picture had two potential subjects to me. The bubbles and the little lady. I was unsure which was the real subject since they were so close. I realize getting bubbles and a person is a hard thing to do. So. I improvised and added some cut's and pastes. I hope you approve. I figure this way you see bothe subjects at the same time. Bsteph

..hehe.. I was waiting for someone to add more bubbles.. I also did that a while ago, just playing around.. Thank you all for your comments, these are really some of the first pictures I've EVER taken, aside from the "will you take this for me". Never had a camera before.

I know everyone's into this cropping bits out to centralise bit, but I think pic two is brilliant - BECAUSE of the deckchair in the background!?! I dunno, there's something about it being there that makes it a bit 'holiday brochure-ish' and there's a nice space to put some text...... and how did you guys clone those bubbles so well?!?

That's true Jordy. I missed it. Personally I do a lot of photo retouch just for fun so I get practice. There's many tutorials. As well. Bsteph

Yeah.. lots of practice. Of course.. moving the person and the lamp wasn't very easy:)
