I plan to purchase one before the $100 rebate expires and would like to know how owners like it and if they have encountered any problems. Thank you.

I just got one a month ago and I saw one advertised for 450 (with rebate).. It has a couple of quirks though. 1. Pictures turn out a bit darker what you see on the LCD. However, I think this is so you can see it better when out in bright sunshine. Easily fixed with software or improved by the onboard powersaver feature settings. 2. You have to be pretty still when taking shots, even in automatic mode. 3. Sometimes it doesn't focus well on macro shots. If you zoom out all the way, focus, and then zoom back in.. its fine. 4. Some people say the pictures are a little soft. 5. You have to buy an adapter (if you can find it) for the additional lenses. I also read somewhere that the 2x telephoto lens attatchment is only satisfactory at maximum zoom. 6. You have to take it off the tripod to change batteries and the disk. i do have one and in fact i am happy with it. the only thing i may find anoying...is the focus! First time you press half way the button focus is not always rigth for macro. I whas having a problem often i whas forgeting the macro mode on or lansdcape mode then i whent on the kodak site and they are giving for free a software update to correct focus and on power up it is showing you in the screen the icon of the mode you are... So far 16meg come with it and to me it whas unsuficient. If you use the full resolution you will and up with only one picture at full resolution...9 meg tiff or at high compression jpg 3.1 megapixel 32 shot. If you use the 0.8 megapixel you will be able to take 47 shot of 1024*768 not bad still i di buy the 64meg ram card... So i think i gona see those site on the thread to see what people are complaining about it.... I am very please with the color rendering and with all the feature she give...almost like a 35mm manual.
