There is a fish schools ecosystem that comes with Vue 6 Infinite, you could load that and examine the settings to see how they have done it :)

I can certainly agree with you on the function editor, I have tried it a few times, got lost and came back out again lol. But I am guessing the only way to do it is there, you could try scatter and replicate but again its not an eco-system just a work around.
Good luck :)

She's making pillars of rocks but shows you how to get ecosystems distributed throughout your object - it might work for you
*If this is what you're after - set the offset below surface
The sphere is going to be realatively small and in full view with a water material and hopefully the fishes all through it!!

I'm missing something simple here I know, I want to have a sphere with a fish eco system, easy done right?? Yes and no!
I have my eco system sphere with water material and fish added as an eco system, but they're all at the top of the sphere, nothing at the bottom, I've tried various changes in the editor but can't get the bloody fishes to move from the top and be more uniformly distributed, anyone care to tell me how to do this???
TIA!!!
