Subject: stupid simple question...

For some reason Photoshop all of a sudden wants to open all jpegs, gifs ... whatever... when i double click to just view them. I don't want that... it takes too long for it to open and I'm just fed up with it. I clicked on the help in Photoshop but that was actually NO help at all.

I know this is a stupid question lmao
How do I make it so that the default viewer is that windows picture fax viewer thing again?

Right click on image thumb - Open with - Choose program.

There select  Windows picture and fax viewer and check the box "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file ". Click OK and that should be it :)

But why dont you D/L free "Irfan view", its excellent picture viewer among allot of other options :)

Oh really thanks! My friend uses that... i just couldn't remember the name, but that sounds right. I'll google it and DL it

If you get Irfanview just go to Options > Set File Associations and select which file extentions you want it to open.

Just a suggestion, but if you have the money or can find an old copy, Paint Shop pro has the single best image browser in existence. I couldn't work without it, and I use it at least daily. I don't use PSP for much of anything else but it's worth a million to me just for the browser.
