Subject: need help with Carrara 6

Hai, I have a new computer and have installed Carrara6, the problem is when I open Carrara the workarea is black even when I load an object the screen stays black and I can't see the object, on my old computer  I started with a bluegray screen with  a grid and I could see what I had opened or loaded, can anyone tell how to remove the black screen because now I have to click all over the black area until I hit the object I loaded up to get a normal screen back.

hugs

Does it come back when you move a camera? Try turning anti-alis off on your vid card. Many of us had to do that in earlier C6 versions. Have you got the latest version of Carrara? A new update came out a few days ago.

In the Interactive Render settings, change your Interactive Render engine to Software instead of OpenGL. It sounds like a video driver/card issue.

Oh well, I gave the Daz tech answer. I should know better.LOL.

I don't have that problem with the newwer versions, so I had thought they had fixed it. I never changed vid cards.

Thank you too for trying to help me out, I hadn't installed the update yet.

My comment as about the competence of Daz tech. LOL.

I just recieved a ticket responce from DAZ a couple of days ago. It was a 2 year old ticket and they wanted another file. Yeah right, like I have a non working 2 year old file, let alone even the same computer.
