Subject: poser save problem

ok i am working on something in poser i save it like regular and when i go to open it..it loads then gives this, i am running vista ultimate and it opens other saves just not this one

can you click on the "view problem details" and post that screen ?

it just closes if i do that it doesn't do anything

Try to delete the libraryPrefs.xml. Sometimes it helps. Otherwise, did you change the Driverfor your graphics card?

If all doesn't help try an installation with minimum content over your existing Poser installation.

i dont have any file called "libraryPrefs.xml and i havnt made any changes to windows or anything..it just isnt working

Sure you do.  In Poser 7, they moved preference files to the Windows "Documents and Settings" user folder.  In Vista, this would be in the Users user folder.  Should be under "Application Data:Poser 7" or similar.  If you can't find that, just do a search of the Users folder for the libraryPrefs.xml (searching subfolders as well).

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

Do you open Poser as "administrator"?

It also looks like you dont have Poser 7 SR2.1 installed.

Schedule a checkdisk with automatic fixes enabled and reboot your machine.  It will take a while for checkdisk to run, but once it finishes defragement the harddrive.
