Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 6:06 am)
You know, there are actually two types of .rsr files. The smaller one is the image that gets displayed in the library. The larger type is a compressed version of the .obj file. I only bring it up because since the Pro-Pack came out there has been some confusion concerning 3d-party figures not loading correctly when using the Pro-Pack. If you're using the Pro-Pack and are having problems getting some figures to load, check to see if a larger-type .rsr file was included instead of a .obj file. You'll recognize if it's a larger-type .rsr because they are normally well over 50K. The Pro-Pack wants to use .obj files rather then .rsr files and will not load the figure correctly. If so, get Maz's utility called RSR2OBJ from the free area to convert the .rsr to a .obj. Just adding this little bit of trivia to save someone else some time later.
I've noticed something else: Quite often Poser will balk at loading an obj file, saying it's not found, even though you can verify that it is, indeed, there. A simple fix (for me) has been to delete ALL rsr files within the Geometries folder and its subdirectories. This completely eliminated the problem for me.

I have the pz3tocr2 converter. The question is, how do you create the rsr file??
