I'm trying to learn Poser with Poser 7, and am setting up (for instance) a character in the main interface, and saving it as a .pzr(3 or 5???I can't rember what the Scene file is called) file.
When I reopen Poser, close out the inevitable scene file with the man at the center, and then try and load my .pzr scene file, it crashews the program.

Does anyone know what might be going on????

BTW, is it possible to pose a character with clothes etc in Daz and then bring it over to Poser to render???

To get rid of the 'man at the center':

• Open Poser
• Select the figure (or some body part)
• Hit the Delete key
• In the menus, select Edit->General Preferences
• On the Document tab, hit "Set Preferred State", click OK to exit

With respect to DAZ|Studio into Poser - no.  The D|S scene file is binary, proprietary, and Poser doesn't know anything about it.

Do you happen to be using V4 (or some derivative) with the scene crashing Poser?  Then you should go back into the General Preferences and on the "Misc." tab, disable "Use external binary morph targets" and click OK again.

Finally, a Poser scene extension is PZ3 or PZZ if file compression is turned on (you'll see that on the Misc. tab as well).

Please be aware that Poser and Vista together have some security issues. For it to work properly you must run Poser as Administrator. Even better to switch of security in Vista, this will resolve all your problems but does create a (small) security risk. Binary morphs and compressed files will work in Poser at all times but may cause problems if you are using Poser on multiple computers or in combination with other programs.

Just to clarify what jfbeute has said: Don't switch all security off in Vista, all you need to switch off is the UAC, if you don't know how I'll be glad to tell you if you pm me, the security risk is minimal and doesn't affect anything if you're even only slightly computer savvy!!
