Subject: Rendering Engines

ive seen a lot of the pics that people are rendering, and i wonder, what king of rendering engine are they using?
the auto-engine for DAZ is the 3Delight thing, but that isnt nearly as good as what ive seen.
anyone know the names of the other engines and/or where to find them?

3Delight is capable of very good results, even in the version included with DS. You'd do better to post some of your images, say what you don't like about them (since not everyone will see the same things as issues) and ask for advice on improving them (which will involver render settings, lighting, material settings, possibly addons such as new shaders and perhaps simply the content used).

Most of the images in the D|S section are rendered with 3Delight, as Richard said, it is a question of plug-ins, shaders and postwork.
If you just load an item into the scene and render it like that, with the default lightning, you are sure to see a great difference with the promo images. Have a look at the DAZ-Forum or here to find some tutos on setting up the scene and lightning and using some free shaders.
Leaving the path of default settings will always get you better results!

Rubicondigital has a very good tutorial on how to achieve the best balance of render settings to results in D|S. It is well worth looking up and studying.
