I don't think you need to create a mesh for Poser and another one for D|S, and as for SubD, that is an option.

Let's put it this way, Poser has the Materialroom, D|S has SubD! ^_-

Again, you don't have to create D|S specific stuff, but if you offer workarounds for Poser-specific content you are sure to make some happy customers, which isn't a bad thing in my book!

ok heres my issue with that disclamour and its nothen against the venders who do thinks i could never do"cant do clothing sets and barely do props"
that disclamour tends to scare me not because the vender is rude or mean but because it reminds me of buying a used car at a lot only to have it die in 9 months .i cant blame the venders for my own issues nore can i truely blame myself so i have an idea how about a test group to test new poser sets in daz studio since i use it for a3 and h3 mainly i would relish the opportunity to do that for the venders and that way we will know if the set is worth buying or not

I comes down to one thing.
Those particular venders have themselfs
up on a pedestal and think that DAZ users are peons.
And do not want our money. They consider us
second class citizens and believe that our money
would disgrace them.
I myself believe DAZ a superior product and yes I
do have Poser 4,5,6,7 and Pro. There are more and
more venders starting to test in DAZ. There is just to
much money to lose if YOU, and you know who you
are, do not test in DAZ.
'

What if I just prefer working in Poser as Daz Studio does not offer what I need ? I am not on a pedastel...I used to use DS. But I find it lacks the tools I need for many many projects. So I don't use it anymore. Same with photoshop. I find Paint shop pro easier to work with. I rarely open photoshop. That wouldnt put me on a Paint shop pro pedastel. That would make me a human being who just happens to have opinions of her own, preferences and happens to enjoy one over the other.

Think people are taking this a wee bit out of context here and making it something it is most definitely not.

Someday when I have more experience with product creation, Poser, modeling, and DS itself ( once there's a better bug-free version that doesnt lag out my computer ) I will indeed include DS files. Until then, I have a stiff learning curve and a long way to go.

Don't be so quick to judge a book by it's cover. I only do what I can and the best I can at the moment :)

I haven't been able to make an image yet worth bragging about.  But the one thing I have learned while trying is that you need to play with your surface settings to adjust for all sorts of things.  So if you have to tweak things anyway why worry whether about Poser or Studio compatible except for with Dynamics and Shader only products.  People need to learn the program they are using and shop smart.

i just want to  say i am so pissed. it took me weeks to make a skin and i found out by renderosity i could not give it away. they said i had to sell it to upload it. my work is not for sale!!!!!!!!! i belive artist should share. i understand money rules the world but not my art! i share all of my files like i share my cameras and brushes in class. i believe you only get back what you put in. in that deviantart is a way better artist platform. renderosity is to sell things like ebay. i refuse to sell my art or any entity of on renderosity. i will display it only

ShareCG perhaps? they don't use advertising to pay for the bandwidth here is probably the reason why Flight. There are some other filesharing websites that some artists use I can dig those up as well.

Propschick ( ) posted Sat, 19 July 2008 at 9:17 PM

Flight, please do not PM me advertising for another site. I am happy right here on this site and I am grown up enough to make my own choices , I do not need you in my PM's telling me what awful things you think about this site.

Did you use a merchant resource to make your texture?  The reason I ask is that I see new freebies added all the time.  Most merchant resources don't allow you to use them to make freebies, its the only reason I could see for this.

flight001, I'm not going to tell you again to stop sending me sites mails. Knock it off.

And now for the 3rd time.

Is there an admin around somewhere?

There's a little button under the site mail that lets you report the mail and the sender. It sends the mail straight to an admin and removes it from your inbox. Renderosity has little to no tolerance for spam and no tolerance for harassing members.

Propschick ( ) posted Sat, 19 July 2008 at 10:38 PM

I did the first one- just found it- thanks :)

You're welcome. Not many admins on at the moment. I just checked. I sent a site mail to wheatpenny, as well, if the button thing doesn't work. He was listed as being online right now. Hope you don't mind. You certainly do not need this stuff.

Propschick ( ) posted Sat, 19 July 2008 at 10:47 PM

ok!!! i had to take a shower my dear props. what do you need help with? you have my full attention for the next half an hour.

flight001 ( ) posted Sat, 19 July 2008 at 11:40 PM

to clear up a few issues. obj files load faster then pz2 files. in fact. if you have a slow comp it might take you an hour to load a pz2 file. and that is on a pentium 2. dual core 4 gig machines take about 5 mins at the most to load pz2 files. why do people still use pz2 format? polygon rendering is amazing with pz2.

poser is part of a suite of software applications. daz is part of a suite of software applications.if you hate poser go to daz. if you hate daz go to poser. but for fuck sak  stop bitching!!!!

the beatles used a 8 track to record abby road.you cant use a piece of software to get your point out? sorry but sounds to me like you are throwing blame on the tools when you are at fault

learn how to use what you have and stop bitching
